It was only 6 weeks ago that Richie Strahan left Australia in shock when he picked Alex Nation as the love of his life, over the sweet and wonderful, Nikki Gogan.
Now that Australia has calmed down and recovered from this, another bombshell was dropped last night when Georgia Love, this season's Bachelorette, picked Lee Elliot over the ever so charming, Matty Johnson.
Although our hearts break for Matty, there is no doubt Lee Elliot is just as good of a bloke and will support our Bachelorette, Georgia through this tough time with her mother's cancer.
Lee spoke out about what it's like finally being able to go public with his and Georgia's relationship..
"It now doesn't have to be a covert operation for me to see her. I can just get in the car and be there for her, not just emotionally but physically as well. I couldn't be more thankful that tonight the world found out I fell in love with Georgia Love."
Traditionally, the winning couple would do the media circuit as soon as the finale has aired. However, it is uncertain if Love will be able to do any press at this stage while she focuses on her family.
Although it may take a while for us to see the happy couple in the spotlight, there is no doubt that they are head over heels for each other, with Lee declaring his admiration for Georgia in an interview right after the finale "I have absolutely found my soulmate, the love of my life and my best mate."
Let's just hope poor ol' Matty finds love with someone soon, this shouldn't be too difficult though seeing as just how much Australia loves him!
