News.com.au featured Adulttoymegastore Founder Nicola Relph in a recent article “‘Don’t put it there’: New TikTok trend sparks sex expert warning"
News.com.au journalist Claudia Poposki finds that a new "things I have put up my B" trend on TikTok may not be the best approach to discussing safe anal play. Poposki states that the trend includes one person asking a partner an unrelated question that results in them listing a variety of objects such as hammers, fishing rods and even naming some of their pals. The clip is then stitched, resulting in it appearing as though they are listing items that have been used in a manner other than the one intended.
“While this trend makes for a great gag, lets save the comedy for the videos, not the emergency rooms,”,/i> Adulttoymegastore Founder Nicola Relph says.
Hospitals around the world routinely report on foreign objects being inserted - with The Australian Institute of Health and Welfare reporting over 8500 instances of hospitalisation in Australia between 2023 and 2024 as a result of foreign body insertion.
Want to avoid a trip to the emergency room? Opt for safe anal play options, including toys with a flared base and made from body-safe materials. Relph states, "The best experiences come from toys that are actually designed for purpose. If it wasn’t designed to go there, don’t put it there – it’s that simple.”
