Body + Soul Journalist Jackie Sinnerman discusses that alongside growing a moustache to support Movember, that men should also be able to be a big jerk this November. Literally.
Sinnerman relays that recent Harvard research finds that men who ejaculate 21 times or more per month are 31% less likely to develop prostate cancer. The Harvard study tracked nearly 32,000 men over 18 years, finding that regular ejaculation is beneficial for clearing toxins and promoting good prostate health.
Adulttoymegastore Founder Nicole Relph states,“We often talk about exercise or a good diet as key drivers of health outcomes. This research shows that ejaculation should be in that conversation too."
Whilst masturbation supports physical and mental wellbeing, stress reduction and promotes healthy sleep, it seems that lowering prostate cancer is now also on the large list of benefits to self-pleasure.
With Cancer Australia reporting that one in 6 Australian men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer during their lifetime, "Anything that reduces your chances of cancer feels like time well spent. How’s that for an incentive to skip No Nut November?" Relph states.
