Vac U Lock Knuckle Up

This is a solid product and works well with the toys I have, except for one major flaw: the vac-u-lock plug is hollow, and the 'end ridge' is a separate piece of plastic seemingly superglued on. I discovered this when trying it out and on the 3rd or 4th time I pulled it out and the end ridge had come off and was stuck inside the vac-u-lock hole. I was able to remove it by carefully using some needle nose pliers. This seems like a major functional design flaw, as without the end ridge, it simply doesn't have enough grip on the toy. I don't expect this flaw to be fixed any time soon, so I have managed to reattach the end ridge by heavily scratching the hollow inside (for better grip) and filling it with a suitably long bolt and epoxy. What I find strange is that, otherwise, this is an incredibly sturdy product.
