These apply quite extreme pressure (for most) when applied.
Pull on them via the clips (which give even more versatility by attaching to cuffs or weights or chain etc) and this applies even more pressure.
The pads on the clips themselves help ensure they wont slip off.
Will produce a nice moan for sure...
