The cuffs are padded, the Velcro makes for a quick and easy strap on/off. It's easy to adjust the length of each strap, but movement from being cuffed doesn't loosen the cuffs like you might expect looking at the buckle. Had a great time, can't wait to use again. Definitely would recommend, versatility of poses I can imagine a source of oodles amount of fun.
