I use both parts in the same place. The base acts as a flare tool. Both parts have quite a bit of flex so they move around inside. Quite a nice sensation. Used a sword handle attachment.

Definitely recommend for beginners sizes are good on both ends no bad smell 7/10 in my opinion but worth a shot if you're curious.
