Pornhub's yearly review shows video game parodies trending
One interesting trend in Searches for 2018 contained the increasing trend of video game searches. The second most popular search of the year being the hugely popular game, 'Fortnite.' It seems that video game releases would cause a spike in topical searches on Pornhub. For example, whenever a new character in Fortnite was introduced, a dramatic increase of searches for this character would follow.

Another surprising trend was the surge of Bowsette searches. Bowsette is a fantasy hybrid character that derives from the Super Mario Brother's series. Unlike Fortnite, Bowsette is not in the actual game and is instead a creation of fan-art. You would think such a search would be rather niche, but it was ranked the 9th most popular search for 2018, ranking just above threesomes!

It turns out, video games and pornography cross-overs are really common. With Popular Video Game Searches being a part of the year in review.
